A 6-MONTH SOMATIC JOURNEY
You’ve done the reframes, the journaling, the education. You understand so much about body image. But understanding hasn’t always translated into feeling different in your body. Grounded Within brings your nervous system into the work, so the healing you’ve been thinking about can finally start to land where you actually live: in your body.
Rolling start · Somatic & trauma-informed · Group + Individual Support
You’ve questioned every thought, filled journals with reframes, and learned the whole vocabulary of body peace. Then you catch your reflection in a store window, and your breath gets shallow, your stomach knots, and all those reframes go quiet.
This isn’t a personal failure, and you’re not doing it wrong. Cognitive tools are valuable, and they work mostly through thinking. But a lot of body image distress lives in the nervous system, in protective patterns that kick in faster than words can catch up. Your body isn’t ignoring your thoughts. It’s trying to keep you safe the only way it learned how.
YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM MOVES FASTER THAN YOUR THOUGHTS
After years of dieting, restriction, or constantly monitoring your body, your nervous system learned to treat food, hunger, and your own reflection as something to brace against. Your chest tightens, your appetite gets confusing, and survival mode takes the wheel. That’s not a lack of willpower. It’s protection.
Somatic work meets that protection gently, from the bottom up. We build small, doable moments of safety in your body so your system can soften its guard, little by little, at a pace that feels okay for you.
— Quiet the alarm bells that go off around hunger, fullness, and mirror moments
— Build your capacity to move from stress back toward rest, even when it’s slower some days
— Rebuild trust with your body so caring for it feels supportive, not like punishment
Across six months, we move through three grounded phases: building nervous system safety, meeting body image patterns with honesty, and landing in embodiment you can actually live from.
We start by creating a felt sense of safety in your body so change doesn’t have to be forced. This phase is about slowing down, tracking sensation, and building capacity to meet discomfort without spiralling.
Learn practical regulation + resourcing tools you can use in real life
Understand your patterns through a nervous-system lens (not self-blame)
Build stability so the deeper work can land and integrate

With more safety online, we bring the body into the body image conversation. We explore food rules, control patterns, shame triggers, and the places your system learned to treat your body as a threat.
Untangle diet-culture beliefs from what your body actually needs
Work with shame + self-criticism as protective strategies (not character flaws)
Practice meeting body sensations, emotions, and urges with more choice
This is where the work becomes lived. We integrate what you’ve learned so you can move through triggers, return to yourself faster, and make choices from presence—rather than from fear or rule-following.
Strengthen your ability to notice activation and come back to centre
Reconnect with movement, pleasure, and self-expression in a body-first way
Build a relationship with your body that feels like home—not a problem to solve

Use this as a simple gut check. Both can be true: this can be a powerful next step, and it can also be a “not right now.”
You've done some mindset work, the reframes, the education — and something still feels unresolved in your body
You're not in crisis, but you're not free either. You're managing, not living
You're curious what happens when body image work includes your nervous system, not just your thoughts
You want support that helps you embody the work, not just understand it
You're open to building a supportive relationship with yourself
You're open to challenging old beliefs about bodies and food
You're currently in active treatment for an eating disorder or need a higher level of clinical care
You're looking for meal planning, nutrition therapy or a diet plan
You're looking for a replacement for therapy or medical care — this work is a complement to those, not a substitute
You want a quick fix rather than investing in a gradual process of unlearning and learning
Staying where you are can look fine from the outside. You’re functioning. You’re coping. But on the inside, it might look like:
Getting dressed and changing three times before you leave the house
Hearing the commentary in your head at every meal, every mirror, every photo
Saying no to the beach, the event, the moment, because being seen feels like too much
Spending so much mental space on your body that there’s less left for your life
Knowing all the 'right' things and still feeling like a stranger in your own skin
None of this means you’ve failed. It means your body has been working hard to protect you, and it’s tired. You deserve support that meets you there.

It’s natural to have questions before starting this deeply personal work. If you don't see yours answered here, reaching out is always welcome.
Somatic simply means “of the body.” Somatic work brings sensation, breath, and gentle movement into the healing process, so you’re not only changing how you think about your body, but how it feels to live in it.
Yes, and many people do. Grounded Within is designed to complement therapy, dietitian support, or medical care, not replace it. With your permission, I’m always happy to collaborate with your care team.
Grounded Within has a rolling start, so you can join when it feels right for you. You don’t have to wait for a cohort to open.
Life happens. Calls are recorded so you can catch up when you’re able, and the pre-recorded modules are yours to keep for good.
You’re so welcome here. Somatic work isn’t about doing it “right.” Everything is offered as an invitation, and we adapt practices to your body, your energy, and your capacity on any given day.
That’s a really common feeling, and it makes sense. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. We start with safety for a reason. If you’re unsure, a connection call is a no-pressure way to see if this feels like a fit right now.
Both include the full group program and community. Community Plus adds monthly 1:1 sessions with me and chat support between calls, for anyone who wants more personalized guidance along the way.
You keep lifetime access to all the course material. Community space access closes at the end of your six months, and we’ll talk about what ongoing support could look like for you if you want it.

Body Image Coach + Somatic Practitioner
I didn't come to this work from theory alone.
I know what it's like to feel disconnected from your own body — to do the cognitive work, say the right things, and still feel like a stranger in your own skin.
For years, I did body image work the way most of us are taught to: through reframes, education, and mindset shifts. It helped, but something was still missing. I could think differently about my body and still not feel different in it.
That gap led me to somatic work, and it's where things finally started to click. Not instead of the cognitive work, but alongside it. It’s the piece that lets everything else actually land in the body, not just the mind.
That's the work I do now: bridging body image coaching and somatic practice, so healing isn't just something you understand, but something you embody.
You don’t have to keep white-knuckling your way through body image on your own. Over six months, with guidance and a community walking alongside you, you’ll build more safety in your nervous system, more ease in your body, and a sense of belonging in your own skin that you can actually live from.
